Gandalf in the Minas Tirith study researching the history of the one ring. The design is a tribute to the many Renaissance etchings, woodcuts and paintings of St. Jerome in his study.
5" x 7" zinc plate etching printed in black oil based ink on 9" x 11" gray Pescia intaglio paper. Designed and etched in 2021.
Printed, signed and numbered January 2022.
Note: This plate was inked and wiped by hand, which means that each print is unique and will have slight variances in plate tone and line intensity.
