"Edo Haze", three block woodcut on Shintorinko Cream washi paper
$45.00
A group of Chinese junk boats in Edo (old Tokyo) harbor.
Three 3” x 3.5” shina plywood wood blocks layered and each hand-printed in black sumi-e ink and rice paste with slight water dilution on 7” x 8" Shintorinko Cream Japanese washi paper. Signed and numbered edition of 6. October 2021.
These prints were printed using the historic Japanese printmaking method of Mokuhanga (sometimes called Ukiyo-e).
Note: These blocks were printed by hand, which means that each print is unique and will have slight variances in tone and texture. Faint indentations may appear in the margins where the paper was pressed over the edges of the block. The carved blocks in the images are for display only.
